Michael Gribbons is a Sudbury born entrepreneur. After completing his education at the University of Waterloo for Mechanical Engineering, Michael went on to lead a successful expansion effort for a mid sized distribution company.
After seven years of continuous expansion, Mike yearned for a new challenge that would only be cured by owning his business.
Michael and his wife, Jodi went on to found Synergy Controls Corporation in 1992. Michael and the Synergy team have won many sales awards including 13 “Most Valuable Representative” awards based on total sales in Canada. The achievements are even grander when one understands the small market size that Synergy Controls competes in.
Michael co-founded Maestro Digital Mine in 2012 and has gained entry into over 85 underground mines globally with transformative products that improve productivity, safety while reducing CAPEX and OPEX using IIoT digital technology. Michael and his team have received three awards from:
- Innovation – Bell Business Awards
- Judge’s Choice Award – Northern Ontario Business Awards
- Outstanding Achievement in Commercialization award – Ultra Deep Mining Network
Michael spends equal time in Sudbury and Puerto Vallarta with his wife – Jodi and daughter – Jade.
