SAMSSA Member Bestech Expanding

Sudbury, Ont., – BESTECH is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Lorri McCann as
Mechanical Civil Structural Manager and Steve Langille as Senior Principal Engineer. Lorri
brings 20 plus years of experience in smelting and refining operations, capital projects, and
engineering management to the team. Steve has over 25 years of experience in structural and
mechanical engineering and project management. Together, the two will support BESTECH’s
growth strategy in the Mechanical, Civil and Structural engineering service delivery.
Before joining BESTECH, Lorri worked for SNC-Lavalin as their Plant Engineer Services
Manager and TESC as the Project Delivery Manager. She also had a long career with Vale
during which she held numerous management roles in engineering, capital projects and asset
management.
“I believe the breadth of my background and my approach to business development,
engineering services, and capital project delivery will provide a solid foundation to ensure the
design work we deliver best supports the client’s needs. My vision is that our Mechanical Civil
Structural team earns a sought-after reputation in delivering quality design work that can be
safely and cost effectively constructed, operated, and maintained,” said Lorri.
Steve previously worked for J.L. Richards. During his 25 years there he held the positions of
Project Engineer, Sudbury Office Manager, and Senior Project Manager. He was also employed
with Falconbridge as a Maintenance Engineer.
Lorri and Steve’s backgrounds will make it an easy transition into their new roles as Mechanical
Civil Structural Manager and Senior Principal Engineer.

and expertise by mentoring junior and intermediate engineers. BESTECH’s collaborative
